Despite my fears that I will fail miserably at this whole gardening endeavor, the cool weather seeds were planted yesterday! With the support of the community and the Edible Gardens group here in Highland Park, the library garden now has lettuce, radish, and pea seeds in the ground.
Now I just have to remember to water it...

We are teens from the Highland Park Public Library who are interested in becoming more knowledgeable about issues concerning the environment. Last summer we learned value of growing our own edible garden. This year we are expanding with the help of Sustainable Highland Park as part of their Edible School Gardens Project. Please enjoy our progress. We will post photos and events regularly. We are also making a documentary to share with the community. Very exciting!
